Sand & Cement
A versatile mixture of sand and cement in pre-determined proportions for a variety of uses.
A premium, durable, high-performance cement suitable for interior and exterior applications, including brick and block laying, landscaping, patching, rendering, roofing, and leveling baths and shower bases.
Preparation
An appropriate mixing vessel such as a wheelbarrow or plastic bucket, depending on the job undertaken, along with a pointing trowel, safety gear and a source of potable water are required.
Mixing
- Empty Dingo Sand & Cement into wheelbarrow or onto a clean, nonporous surface
- Slowly add water, (maximum 4 litres) mixing until a stiff yet workable consistency is reached. The mix should just slip off the trowel when lightly flicked
- Your mortar is now ready to trowel onto bricks or blocks
- Cure your finished mortar by keeping it moist and covered for a minimum of 7 days before use
Clean-Up
Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened material can only be mechanically removed.
Handy Hints
- Clay bricks should be lightly soaked in water before laying
- Concrete blocks should be laid dry
- Retaining walls should not be backfilled for at least 2 weeks
